The Magna Carta
In 1215, a group of nobles stood up to their king and made him respect their rights. They made king John approve their document- Magna Carta. The Magna Carta is a document that lists their rights. One famous right in the Magna Carta is the "habeas corpus"- this means people were not able to be kept in jail with no reason.
End Result: The Parliament
There was a council of nobles who would advise the king. They were called the Parliament. The parliament governs England today. All the things that the king wanted to do had to be passed by the parliament, so the king could only do little without the parliaments consent. The parliament wanted everyone to be treated equally. I think that it helped lead to the End of Feudalism in many ways. People were starting to want everyone to be equal and feudalism was all about someone ruling one person or another and no one was very equal.
